The National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, established as an Institute of National Importance by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, invites applications for the post of Junior Engineer on contractual basis for a period of one year (extendable up to three years) from Indian nationals possessing requisite academic qualifications and relevant experience. The details of the post are as under
Name of the Post : Junior Engineer on contractual basis
No. of Post : 2(Two) [One Civil & One Electrical]
Term of the post : 1(One) year extendable up to three years depending on performance
Pay : Consolidated pay of Rs.15,000/- per month for the 1st year and will be increased by Rs. 1000/- p.m. on subsequent years if contract is extended
Upper Age Limit : 30 years as on closing date of receipt of application.
Qualification & Experience : First Class diploma in Engineering in relevant discipline with good academic record with at least two years of work experience
Application fee : Rs. 200/- (Rs. 100/- in case of SC/ST/PWD) in the form of a Demand Draft in favor of “NIT Meghalaya” payable at Shillong

General Information / details about the post :
1. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/ Institutions. Relaxation in educational qualification and / or experience will be considered in exceptional cases.
2. The prescribed essential qualifications/experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possessions of same will not entitle the applicants to be called for interview. Where the number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, the Institute shall call only the shortlisted candidates after due screening.
3. The applicants should furnish details of all the qualifications and relevant experience along with self-attested photocopies of marks sheets/ certificates.
4. No interim enquiries/ correspondence/ communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.
5. Canvassing in any form will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
6. Application not in the prescribed format, incomplete in any respect and not accompanied by relevant certificates/ documents/ photograph/fee will be summarily rejected.
7. The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason thereof.
