3rd UILS National Client Counseling Competition 2014 :
It is an honour for the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, Chandigarh to organise its third UILS National Client Counseling Competition – 2014. We have had an excellent response to our 1st & 2nd UILS National Client Counseling Competition; an event which was a pioneer step and the first of its kind in the entire Northern India.
This year again, I am glad to invite your College/Department/University to participate in the UILS National Client Counseling Competition – 2014 being organised on February 4th , 2014. This initiative of UILS is aimed to hone the lawyering skills of students aspiring to join the legal profession. The Winners of the UILS National Client Counseling Competition – 2014 shall be awarded with the ‘Dr. Gurdial Singh Dhillon Memorial’ Running Trophy.
Due to the unique format of the competition and requirement of special arrangements, the registration is restricted to twenty (20) teams only and will be on ‘First Come First’ basis (Priority shall be determined on the basis of e-mail confirmation and receipt of duly filled Registration Forms and Demand Drafts which must reach the Organisers before the due date, which is mentioned in the Rules of the Competition).

The Registration Form along with the copy of the Draft can also be scanned and sent to us at the above email or faxed at 0172- 2784283 before January 25, 2014.

Deadlines and Registration Fee :
An email confirmation from the participating institutions is expected before the 22th January 2014 to be sent at jasmeetegan@hotmail.com (with copy to director_uils AT pu.ac.in). Registration Fee of Rs. 2000/- has to be sent along with the Registration Form in the form of a Demand Draft in the name of ‘Director, University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh’ or to be faxed at 0172- 2784283 before 25th January, 2014 for participation in the UILS National Client Counseling Competition – 2014.
Please Note :
The last date of registration alongwith the Demand Draft is 25th January 2014, and in no case the registrations will be accepted after the last date.

UILS will provide boarding and lodging to the participating teams which will be only for the duration of the Competition (i.e. from the morning of 3rdFebruary till the morning of 5th February, 2014) in the University Hostels on campus on a sharing basis. The participants will be expected to adhere to the Rules of the Hostels and maintain high standards of discipline throughout their stay. Misbehavior of any sort by the participants will be dealt very seriously and will lead to disqualification of the team. Please note that separate accommodation will be arranged for boys and girls. The teams, in case of any difficulty, can make their own arrangements for accommodation outside the campus. A pick-up and drop-off facility for the Competition and thereafter transportation only within the campus will be provided
