Centre for Wind Energy Technology (C-WET) is the technical arm of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India in the field of Wind Energy. C-WET plays a proactive role in the development of Wind Energy especially in Wind Resources Assessment, Testing/ Type Certification of Wind Turbine Generators, Research & Development and Information & Training Services. The Centre proposes to recruit skilled, dedicated, industrious and competent technical and supporting personnel.
Applications are invited to engage “PROJECT ASSOCIATE” / “PROJECT ASSISTANT” on CONTRACT for specific time bound projects / mission mode activities of C-WET initially for a period of one year extendable further, if required, based on the review of performance on year to year basis. The maximum period of engagement will be 5 years or co-terminus with the completion of the project whichever is earlier. The position requires extensive travel throughout the country. The candidates selected may be required to climb wind turbines and meteorological masts measuring about 80-100 meters height. Only such candidates, who are serious, willing, medically fit, capable of travelling throughout the country and willing to climb wind turbines / meteorological masts need apply.

Age : 35 years
Consolidated Remuneration: Rs.30,000/- p.m.
Qualification : First Class B.E./B.Tech./ M.Tech/M.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Technology from any recognized University / Institution
Experience (Essential): 2-3 years experience in technical implementation of coding and programming Java script functionality, .Net Application development, PL/SQL procedures. Database interfaces and implementation.

2 Unit : WIND RESOURCE ASSESSMENT UNIT
Age : 35 years
Consolidated Remuneration: Rs.30,000/- p.m.
Qualification : First Class M.Sc. in Physics (specialization in Atmospheric Physics) / M.Tech. (Atmospheric Science) from any recognized University/ Institution
Experience (Essential): 2-3 years experience in the following ;
i) WRF (ARW, NMM, WPP, ARW Post) model suite for Weather forecasting and Wind Power Prediction applications, meteorological data processing using GrADS, NCL and MATLAB and 3D Var & GSI for Data Assimilation.
ii) Knowledge on statistical methods (ARIMA, Regression) for Wind Power prediction applications, Development Artificial Neural Network for Wind Power prediction.
iii) A strong background in working with Linux/Unix including shell & Perl scripting.
iv) Programming skills : MySQL, Shell, Python (basic) MATLAB, GrADS and NCL.
v) Adequate knowledge in boundary layer physics and flows.
vi) Aptitude for involving in research studies.

Experience (Essential): 2-3 years experience in Information Management area including editing, publishing, production, distribution, of primary publications, Annual Report, Newsletters, adhoc publications, publicity materials and digitization.
