Institute of Seismological Research (ISR) a premier Research Institute under the aegis of Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, proposes to appoint talented academics and researchers for our core group scientist positions. Applications in the prescribed format in written are invited for the following positions from bright and eligible Indian Nationals with excellent and consistent academic record, a high degree of motivation and who proposes to take up research in Seismology as a career. The Institute of Seismological Research plans to fill-up the following core group posts on adhoc basis

Pay Scale : 15600-39100 Grade Pay 5400
Essential Qualification : M.Tech/M.Sc.Tech/M.Sc. Geophysics/Geology/Physics
Experience in Seismological Research : 1 year
Disciplines requirement:
I. Specialization: Multi Parametric Geophysical Observations
Job Requirements: Maintenance of sophisticated Geophysical instruments (Super Conducting Gravimeter, Borehole Strainmeters, Magnetometers, Radon Monitors and Water Level Recorders), data acquisition in field, participation in data processing & modeling, pursue earthquake precursory research and writing scientific papers.
II. Specialization: Crustal Deformation studies using GPS
Job Requirements: To maintain the permanent GPS network, conduct campaign mode GPS operations to study crustal deformation, strain rates and writing scientific papers.
III. Specialization: Paleoseismology and Active fault investigations
Job Requirements: To carry out paleoseismological studies using OSL dating, active fault investigations and writing scientific papers
