Restriction On Entry And Residence Application Forms For Permit/permission :
To protect the interests of the general public of Lakshadweep, about 95% of whom are Scheduled Tribes, the Administrator has, with previous approval of Central Govt. and in exercise of powers vested under Laccadive, Minicoy & Amindivi Islands (laws) Regulation, 1965, made the Laccadive, Minicoy and Amindivi Islands (Restriction on Entry and Residence) Rules, 1967. As per these rules, every person, who is not a native of these islands, shall have to obtain a permit in the Prescribed Form from the Competent authority, for entering into and residing in these islands.
Exemptions :
Government Officials and Armed Force members, etc. working /visiting these islands and their family members are exempted from this requirement.
Foreigners :
Foreign Tourists having valid Passport and visa for visiting India, can visit as Tourist the islands of Agatti, Kadmat and International Tourist Resort of Bangaram, with permission of Administrator.
Foreign Nationals permitted by the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs for official purposes can also visit these islands.
Competent Authority :
Secretary to the Administrator, U.T. of Lakshadweep, Indira Gandhi Road, Wellingdon Island, Kochi-682003 [Phone 0484 – 2668245(Office), 2319664 (Residence)] is the competent Authority for issuing Entry Permit. He has also been authorised to issue permission to Indian Tourists/Foreign Tourists and Officials as per simplified procedure.
Assistant Director, in the Department of Tourism, Goa has also been authorised to issue permission to persons visiting islands availing Goa-Agatti Flight.

7. Profession (with name of the employer, if any)
8. If the applicant is not a citizen of India, state whether he is holder of a passport or permit and, if so, the floowing particulars of the passport or permit

(ii) Designation of the issuing authority and Place of issue
(iii) Period upto which it is valid
9. Previous visit to and residence in the Islands if any
10. Name and address of two persons in the Mainland to whom the applicant is well Known
11. Visible distinguishing marks of the applicant
12. Proposed period of stay in the Island
13. Purpose of the visit to the Islands and details of interest, if any in the Islands
14. Particulars of wife and children below 18 years of age, if any who will be accompanying the applicant (attach three copies of recent passport size photographs of self and all members of party. Pardanaship of Goshawomen need not furnish photographs)

Note :
1) All persons above 18 years of age except ladies accompanying their husbands shall make separate applications.
2) Fee of Rs. 50/- per application to be remitted at the office of the Secretary to Administrator, UT of Lakshadweep, Willingdon island, Kochi 3,by cash or by DD on Syndicate Bank.
