RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE COMPETITIONS

COMPETITIONS FOR THE PUBLIC :
4th of January, Saturday
1. Cooking without fire (10.30 am – 11.15 am)
2. Pot designing (10.30 am – 12.30pm)
5th of January, Sunday
3. Bread biting (10.30 am – 11.15 am)
4. Drawing/colouring/poster/ cartoon (10.30 am – 1 pm)
6th of January, Monday
5. Ethnic foods (10.30 am – 12.30pm)
6. Fruits and vegetables carving (10.30 am – 01.30pm)
7th of January, Tuesday
7. Health drinks (10.30 am – 12.00pm)
8. Fabric painting (10.30 am – 12.30pm)
8th of January, Wednesday
9. Chocolate making (10.30 am – 01.30pm)
10. Vegetable printing (10.30 am – 12.30pm)
9th of January, Thursday
11. Cooking with Tapioca (10.30 am – 12.00pm)
12. Mehandi designing (10.30 am – 12.00pm)
10th of January, Friday
13. Payasam making (10.30 am – 12.30pm)
14. Glass painting (10.30 am – 12.30pm)
11th of January, Saturday
15. Biriyani making (10.30 am – 12.30pm)
16. Flower arrangement (10.30 am – 12.00pm)

Competitions will be opened for public including all the students of the colleges affiliated to the University of Calicut (if registered). Requirements should be arranged by participants. Heater/ kerosene stove should be brought. Power plug will be provided. Judgment of the competition will be carried out by the University. Winners will be honoured with Prize and Certificate. Participation Certificate will be disbursed to all contestants.

1. COOKING WITHOUT FIRE
INSTRUCTIONS:
** A team should consist of one member.
** Cooking by any means is restricted.
** Ingredients will not be provided; should bring by themselves.
** The participants are allowed to carry necessary tool kits.
** Time allotted for the competitions is 45 minutes.
Evaluation parameters
Neatness / completion 10 points
Skill 10 points
Taste 30 points
Total 50 points

2. POT DESIGNING
INSTRUCTIONS:
** A team should consist of 1 member only.
** Plastic pot of 15cm width and 20cm height should be brought by themselves.
** The participants can carry necessary tool kits.
** Time allotted for the competitions is Two hours.
** No designed pots are allowed
Evaluation parameter
Presentation 10 points
Finishing/Neatness/completion 10 points
Design / Theme 30 points
Total 50 points

3. BREAD BITING
INSTRUCTIONS:
** This session is opened for students of LP and UP classes
** Separate competition will be held for LP and UP students.

4. DRAWING/ COLOURING/POSTER/CARTOON
INSTRUCTIONS:
** Drawing and painting is meant for LP,UP and HS students
** Colouring competition is exclusively for KG students.
** Cartoon and poster making is restricted to HS and HSS students
** Time allotted for the competitions is Two and half hours.
** The participants can carry necessary tools (crayons, pencil, eraser, scale etc) needed for the competition.
** Chart/ papers needed for the competition will be provided.

GENERAL INSTRUCTION :
** No ingredients/items will be provided by the University
** No cell phones are entertained
** No pre cooked items shall be used
** No recipe books/prescriptions are allowed
** Contestants should report at the venue half an hour before the commencement of competition.
** Heater/kerosene stove/gas stove/easy cook shall be brought.
** No gas cylinders shall be provided.
** Power plug point will be provided.
** Judges decisions will be final.
** Winners will be honoured with Prize and Certificate.
** Participation Certificate will be disbursed to all contestants.
