Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) has been created after upgradtion of Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology in May 2013 vide Delhi State Legislature Act 9, 2012, as a non-affiliating teaching and research University at Delhi to facilitate and promote studies, research, technology, innovation, incubation and extension work in emerging areas of professional education among women, with focus on engineering, technology, applied sciences, management and its allied areas with the objective to achieve excellence in these and related fields. Erstwhile Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT) was established in 1998 by Directorate of Training and Technical Education, Govt. of N.C.T. of Delhi as the first engineering college for women only.

1. Name of the post : Professor
Pay Scale : (Rs.37400-67000) AGP of Rs. 10000
Qualification & experience:An eminent scholar with published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with Ph.D degree and First Class Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline; 10 years of experience in Teaching/Industry/Research out of which three years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent.

2. Name of the post : Associate Professor
Pay Scale : (Rs.37400-67000) AGP of Rs. 9000
Qualification & experience:Ph.D Degree with First Class Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with eight years of experience of Teaching/Industry/ Research out of which three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent excluding the period exclusively spent for obtaining the Research Degree is required. The candidates should have also made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality publication, contribution to educational innovation, design or new courses curricula.

3. Name of the post : Assistant Professor
Pay Scale : (Rs.15600-39100) AGP of Rs. 6000/7000/8000
Qualification & experience:
Assistant Professor in the disciplines of English literature/Communication Studies- Good Academic record with PhD and a first class at Master’s degree level or an equivalent grade in the relevant discipline from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. Regarding NET, UGC guidelines shall be followed wherever applicable from time to time.
Assistant Professor (Management and Soft Skills) – MBA/PGDBM/Master’s Degree with a first class or a equivalent grade in relevant discipline. For the Candidates not having qualification of MBA, a Doctoral Degree is a must for the post of Assistant Professor in relevant discipline. Regarding NET, UGC guidelines shall be followed wherever applicable from time to time.
