Criteria adopted for Screening of the application: 1st Class B.Sc. ( Math, Physics, Chemistry ‘or’ / Math, Physics, Geology) with “one year full time professional qualification in the field of Geology / Geophysics”. OR
1st Class B.Sc. ( Math, Physics, Chemistry ‘or’ / Math, Physics, Geology) with Master degree in relevant subjects in compensation of “one year full time professional qualification in the field of Geology / Geophysics”

Important:
1. Late applications were considered for the reserved communities only where adequate number of candidates were not available.
2. The candidates were screened on the bases of information provided by them in their respect iveapplications. They may note that in the event of any of the information being found false or incorrect or any ineligibility being detected before or after the selection, the candidature of the concerned candidate is liable to be cancelled and action can be initiated accordingly against him / her.
The above recommended candidates are requested to appear before the Selection Committee for interview at 08:30 A.M. on the date mentioned against their respective names at the CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute, Uppal Road, Hyderabad – 500 007.

Documents to be produced at the time of Interview (in original with a set of photo stat copy);
1. Matriculation certificate / mark sheet for date of birth. No other document relating to age will be accepted. Date of Birth mentioned in application is final. No subsequent request for change of date of birth will be considered or granted.

2. All certificates along with mark sheets of all the academic years of educational qualification as prescribed in the Advertisement.

3. Certificate in support of claim to belong to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes / Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) [wherever applicable] in the format (s) prescribed in connection with employment in Govt. of India, Handicap Certificate issued by the appropriate authority (in respect of Persons with Disabilities), etc. as claimed in their respective applications.

In case already employed in any CSIR Laboratories / Institutes, Government Departments, autonomous bodies and public sector undertakings, candidate has to produce No Objection Certificate from his / her present employer stating that in the event of selection, he / she will be relieved of his / her duties within one month, failing which he / she will not be allowed for interview.

6. An Affidavit, if there is difference in either name/father’s name or spelling of name/father’s name in all the Certificates and application form.

The following may also required to be produced at the time of Interview:
1. In respect of equivalent clause in Essential Qualifications, if a candidate is claiming a particular qualification asequivalent qualification as per the requirement of advertisement, then the candidate is required to produce order/letter in this regard, indicating the Authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treated, otherwise his / her candidature is liable to be rejected.

2. In case of Universities/Institute awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per their University/Institute and shall produce Order / Certificate to this effect from concerned authority.

3. In case of claims regarding change in name after matriculation on marriage or remarriage, divorce etc., the following documents shall be submitted;
a) In case of marriage of women – Photocopy of Husband’s passport showing names of spouses
or an attested copy of marriage certificate issued by the Registrar of Marriage or an affidavit from husband and wife along with a joint photograph duly sworn before the Oath Commissioner.
b) In case of re-marriage of women – Divorce Deed / Death Certificate as the case may be in r/o first spouse; and photocopy of present husband’s passport showing names of spouse or an attested copy of marriage certificate issued by the Registrar of Marriage or an Affidavit from the husband and wife along with joint photograph duly sworn before the Oath Commissioner;
c) In case of divorce of women – Certified copy of Divorce Decree and Deed Poll / Affidavit duly sworn before the Oath Commissioner;
d) In other circumstances for change of name for both male and female – Deed Poll / Affidavit duly sworn before the Oath Commissioner and paper cutting of two leading daily newspaper in original (one daily newspaper should be at the area of applicants permanent and present or nearby are) and Gazette Notification.

4. A candidate claiming age-relaxation as a domicile of the state of Jammu and Kashmir should produce a certificate from a the District Magistrate in the State of Jammu and Kashmir within whose jurisdiction he / she had ordinarily resided or from any other authority designated in that behalf by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that he / she had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st day of December 1989.

5. Upper age limit is relaxable up to five years for the regular employees working in CSIR Laboratories / Institute s,Government Departments, autonomous bodies and public sector undertakings. The candidate has to produce a certificate issued after the date of advertisement from his / her employer on Office’s letter head to the effect that he / she is appointed in regular capacity and not on ad-hoc / daily wages / hourly paid / contract basis employee etc.

It should also be noted by the Candidates that their candidature will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification at any stage before or after the Interview it is found that they or any of them do / does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, his / her candidature will liable to be cancelled.

NOTE:
1. Candidates are also advised to read carefully the contents of CSIR-NGRI Advt. No.3/2013 dated 13.07.2013.

2. Only outstation candidates (within India) called and found eligible for interview will be paid to and fro single sleeper class rail fare from the actual place of undertaking the journey or from the normal place of their residence whichever is nearer to the Secunderabad Railway Station on production of Rail Tickets/Rail Ticket Numbers or any other proof of journey. For road journeys between stations not connected by rail, the actual bus fare or road mileage at the lowest rate as admissible under rules, will be reimbursed, on production of documentary proof (bus tickets) and provided that the distance covered by road is more than 20 miles each way.

3. Candidates are advised to plan their itinerary and arrange own accommodation in such a way that they should be able to be present for interview at the designated venue during the very next day of the scheduled date of interview also, in case need arises for so.
