Welcome to the 4th edition of Max Life Insurance i-genius Scholarships , i-genius is a unique programme to recognize and reward children who excel not just in academics but also in extracurricular activities. This scholarship programme provides a platform to bring out the hidden genius in your child. The vision of this scholarship programme is to contribute towards a better future for our children. With no registration fees, the programme offers your children an opportunity to win scholarships of up to Rs 10 Lacs.

The i-genius Scholarships has been designed by the renowned personality, Derek O’Brien.

Who can participate?
This scholarship programme is open to all the children who are studying in Class 3 to Class 8 of government-recognized schools including private including private, public or national open schools/home schools all over India. There are two categories –i-genius Juniors (Classes 3 to 5) and i-genius Seniors (Classes 6 to 8). The eligibility and category is dependent upon the class the participant is in, as on 1st January 2014.

Scholarship amount to be won :
100 Scholarships & 900 Merit certificates to be won :
Grand First Prize – (please use rupee symbol) 10 Lacs : 1 Prize each for Junior and Senior.
2nd Prize – (please use rupee symbol) 1 Lac (18 Prizes) – 9 each for Juniors and Seniors categories.
3rd Prize – (please use rupee symbol) 10,000 (80 Prizes) – 40 each for Juniors and Seniors categories.
900 Merit Certificates – 450 each for Juniors and Seniors categories.

Programme Stages :
The scholarship programme is open for all students from classes 3 to 8 of government recognized schools including including private, public or national open schools/home schools all over India. Registration for the programme closes on April 30th, 2014.

The following are the various stages of the program :
Stage1 :
Register through website at www.i-genius.org. Registrations close on April 30, 2014. A username and password for the first online exam will be sent to all registered participants. This shall be followed by of the online examination on the Website.

Stage 2 :
Short-listed participants from Stage 1 qualify for Stage 2 – video conferencing, which will be an evaluation round by our expert jury members.

Stage 3 :
Short-listed participants qualifying from Stage 2 will part of Grand Finale to be held at New Delhi

How to Prepare?
** One of the three R’s, which is considered to be the most useful is READ.
** Read widely – Newspapers, magazines, books, novels and whatever catches your eye.
** Have a keen eye – Catch details allowing your mind to carefully analyse pieces of information you come across such as posters, billboards, number plates of vehicles etc.
** Re-construct actively in your mind – Jigsaw puzzles, letters of the alphabet, images, sentences and phrases, etc.
** Train your mind logically – Think straight, find the extraordinary in the common.
** Ask yourself questions – Have a curious mind and go beyond the text or what you read.
** Research and try to get additional information on topics, subjects and issues.
** Be updated and well-informed – This comes out of having a sense of curiosity and wanting to know.
** Have an learning orientation – This will make you to want to know more about things.
** Think out of the box – Recognise, define and creatively solve various problems.
** Everyday issues and events – Remember and associate people, places, happenings.
** Enhance your communication skills – Express your thoughts logically, training to sharpen your talents, discussions with others on various topics to sharpen your mind.
** Be positive and clarify things you need to at various stages, do not hesitate to ask experts around you.
** Practice makes one perfect – Identify your weak areas and work upon them.
** Look at doing things differently and in different ways .
