Please go through the instructions for filling the online form Important Points to note before filling the Application form:
Steps to be followed by candidates :
1. Applicants should have a valid Email id .
2. Before filling Online Application Form Download Information Broucher of TET 2013 For Specific Medium OR TET 2013 For Reserved Category in Assamese Medium and read the same carefully.

3. Fill the Online Application Form carefully and upload scanned photograph and signature (Size of photograph and signature Should not be greater than 35KB, 30KB respectively. The photograph and signature should be either in ‘.jpeg’ or ‘.jpg’ format).
4. PLEASE REMEMBER THE PASSWORD GIVEN BY YOU. IT IS IMPORTANT FOR FURTHER LOGIN.

5. There is provision to make changes in the Application Form. Howhere, before Click on Submit Button Candidate should verify the entries made in Application Form. There is no provision to make changes in the Application Form onces sumbit button clicked.
6. After submitting Online Application Form, you should take SBI Bank Challan printout which is in two parts.

7. Required fee is printed on your SBI Bank Challan. With this Challan pay the fee in any Branch of State Bank of India on Second Working Day onwords, from the day of Printing Challan and obtain your copy of Challan showing Journal ID/Transaction ID.

8. Applicants need not send copy of Application Form or any Document to this office. Howhere he should take printout of Application Form for his/her personal record.You will have to submit the printout if asked.

9. The Applicants must possess the required criteria and education qualification as mentioned in the Information Broucher of TET 2013.
10. Please note that if you commit any mistake in filling the online Application Form, it can not be corrected by this office. The Office will take no responsibility of any kind for such forms.

11. Applicants email id and mobile number is used to send counseling information after final merit list is declared.
12. After reading above instructions to fill Online Application Form, the Applicant has to click Next button to display Online Application Form.

As a part of the implementation of the Right to Education Act, 2009, the Government of Assam, Education (Elementary) Department had conducted Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) and eligible candidates qualifying in TET have already been recruited as Assistant Teachers under Elementary department and SSA, Assam, in Lower Primary and Upper Primary schools in phases.

It is for general information that considering the vacancies in the post of teachers in Lower Primary schools in the Barak valley districts and in some other districts in schools with specific medium of instruction, viz. Bangla, Hindi, Garo, Hmar , Manipuri, Nepali, Karbi mediums, which could not be filled up due to non-availability of sufficient numbers of TET qualified candidates in those mediums, it is decided to conduct Teachers’ Eligibility Test in Lower Primary (PAPER-I) for the above cited mediums and on-line applications are invited for the same.

Who can apply:
a) Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam
b) Candidate must have Bangla/Garo/Hindi/Manipuri/Hmar/Karbi/Nepali as MIL upto class X for consideration against posts in the above mentioned mediums. For this purpose all categories of candidates may apply viz. General/ OBC/ SC/ST(Plain)/ ST(Hills) (medium as mentioned above)

c) Candidate must have minimum academic qualification as follows:
(i) Senior/Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks;
(ii) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks with 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002;
Or
(iii) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks with 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed);
Or
(iv) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks with 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Or
(v) Graduation from any UGC recognised University (irrespective of marks obtained in graduation). With regard to candidates having graduation degree, the minimum percentage of marks specified above at + 2 stage Senior secondary /higher Secondary will not be required.

STRUCTURE AND CONTENT OF TET, 2013, ASSAM:
The Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V (Lower Primary School).

(iii) Language II- English. 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(v) Environmental Studies 30 MCQs 30 Marks

The type of Questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and will carry 1 (one) mark each. Total marks will be 150. There will be no negative marking. A candidate is required to score 60 % i.e. 90 marks out of 150 in the respective paper, to pass the Teachers’ Eligibility Test. However, for SC/ST (Hills)/ST(Plain)/OBC/MOBC/PH, there will be relaxation of 5 % , thus, 55 %i.e. 83 out of 150 marks will be required. There will be no negative marking for any wrong answers.
Duration of examination: 2 1/2 hours (150 Minutes) for paper-I.
