A Walk-in-Interview will be conducted for Temporary Faculty positions at NIT PUDUCHERRY for the following departments

Departments:
1. Engineering:
i) Computer Science and Engineering
ii) Electronics and Communication Engineering
iii) Electrical and Electronics Engineering
2. English
3. Mathematics

Walk- in- Interview will also be conducted for the following temporary non-teaching posts;

I. FOR FACULTY POSITIONS :
1 Discipline : Engineering
Qualification : First Class in B.E. / B.Tech. and M.E. / M.Tech. with Ph.D. as desirable qualification in the relevant discipline.
Remuneration : With Ph.D.:Rs. 42000/- per month; With M.Tech.:Rs. 35000/- per month.

2 Discipline: Mathematics/English
Qualification : Ph.D. in relevant discipline with First Class M.A./ M.Sc.
Remuneration : Rs. 42000/- per month

II. FOR NON-TEACHING POSTS :
1 Name of the post : Deputy Registrar
No. of post : 1
Qualification : Master’s Degree in any discipline with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University / Institute.
Experience :
i). Nine years experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.6000/- and above with experience in educational administration. or
ii). Comparable experience in Research Establishment and / or other institutions of higher education., or
iii). Five years administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent.
Desirable :
i). Qualification in area of Management/ Engineering / Law.
ii). Experience in handling computerized administration/ Legal / Financial / Establishment matters.
iii). A Chartered or Cost Accountant Degree or Diploma for the post of Deputy Registrar ( Finance & Accounts) or Deputy Registrar ( Internal Audit)
Remuneration :Rs. 43000/- per month.

2 Name of the post : Accountant

Qualification :
i) First class Bachelor’s Degree in commerce with Honours in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent in grade from a recognized University / Institute. or
Master’s Degree in Commerce/ MBA (Finance) from a recognized University / Institute with excellent academic record.
ii). Knowledge of Computer Applications viz. Word Processing , Spread Sheet and computer based accounting software
Desirable: A Chartered or Cost Accountant Degree
Remuneration :Rs. 25000/- per month.

3 Name of the post : Junior Assistant
No. of post : 3
Qualification : 10 + 2 in any discipline with a minimum Typing Speed of 35 w.p.m. and proficiency in Computer Word Processing and Spread Sheet.
Desirable: Proficiency in other computer skills ; stenography skills .Experience of working in similar Institute/Hostels .
Remuneration :Rs.14000/- per month

4 Name of the post : Stenographer
No. of post : 1
12th standard pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. Minimum speed in short hand 80 w.p.m. in Stenography.
Desirable : Proficiency in Computer Word Processing and Spread Sheet with advance skills.
Remuneration :Rs.14000/- per month

5 Name of the post : Technical Assistant
No. of post : 4
Qualification :
First Class Bachelor’s (Honours.) Degree in Sciences in relevant subject or equivalent grade from a recognized University/ Institute. or
First Class Diploma in Engineering in relevant field with excellent academic record. or
Post graduate Degree in Science or B.E/ B.Tech. in relevant field from a recognized University/ Institute .
Desirable : PGDCA or equivalent from a recognized Institutions
Remuneration :Rs.25000/- per month
